This handsome boy is Tetley he was rushed in as an emergency after he suddenly became weak and was collapsing, he was also refusing food which any Labrador owner will tell you is a bad sign! Over the next 24hrs he started passing frank blood and showing abdominal discomfort, his bloods showed that by Friday morning his red blood cells were at a dangerously low level. He received a blood transfusion from one of our donor dogs, this perked him up dramatically and with medications to treat the suspected gastric ulcer he has recovered well over the weekend and was allowed home today. He will be back in a week for further investigations but for now he is feeling much better. 💖👍🐶🐾😍

This scrummy spaniel is Molly, she is our star patient after being seriously ill and needing intensive veterinary care.

Molly was bought in by her owners one evening as she was having difficulty breathing, on her arrival it was clear something was seriously wrong with Molly. Her temperature was massively elevated and her breathing was rapid and heavy. She was admitted to the surgery for further investigation, this included blood profiles, x-rays and ultrasound scans.

Come and join us for a day of fun, with a family dog show, qualifiers for Martin Clunes rescue/rehome dog show, vintage cars and tractors, bands and bbq. So something for all the family and visit us for your chance to win a luxury dog bed and get your hands on one of our funky new syringe pens!!

Summer show fun.

Dudley is a 4 year old dogue de Bordeaux, his owners were concerned as he was becoming increasingly lethargic, was off his food and losing weight. On examination at the surgery he was obviously a very unwell dog, his breathing was rapid and laboured and he had lost weight. He was admitted for further investigations.

Jake is a very handsome 1 ½ year domestic short hair. Jake like most cats likes to go out and about exploring, when on his return one evening in December his owners noticed he was in considerable pain and was struggling to use his right leg and was bleeding from somewhere. They rushed him to the out of hour’s emergency service where Lizzy admitted him to the surgery for treatment. He was very shocked and in pain, he had an obvious wound to his lower abdomen and also was having difficulty in placing his right hind leg. He was placed on intravenous fluids, given pain relief and put on a heat mat in a padded kennel to stabilise overnight.

Ted arrived at the surgery early one morning, at the end of October. His owners had been out walking him early before work, when he had run off chasing a deer. He had disappeared for over 30 minutes and when his owners found him he was collapsed and bleeding severely. They loaded him into their car and phoned the emergency service to say they were on their way.

Poppy is a 3 year old domestic short haired cat, she had been going about her normal daily activities of exploring the countryside around her home when she encountered a nasty accident...

Raffi is a 6 year old collie cross, he had been a fit, healthy and happy dog and had been seen for his routine vaccinations in May this year. On the evening of 18th July Raffi and his owners were in the garden enjoying the summer sunshine playing ball, an activity enjoyed by both parties.
