Puppy School

Taking on a new puppy is a big responsibility as well as an enjoyable one. Good training and socialising are very important at this young age to ensure your puppy grows into a well-behaved, confident, friendly dog.

Puppies have a key development stage, which begins at approximately 6 weeks of age through to 20 weeks of age. This is the ultimate time to socialise, train and introduce your puppy to all aspects of everyday life they are likely to encounter in the future.

Consequently, we offer puppy classes to help your puppy cope with all that life has to offer.

Our classes are run on a Wednesday evening at our Barnstaple Cross clinic starting at 6pm. We cover:

  • canine psychology
  • socialisation
  • training
  • toilet training
  • preventive health care.

Ideally we have 3-6 puppies each session, with each class generally finishing about 7.15pm

Puppies will be able to join their first class 7 days after their first vaccination.

At the completion of puppy school, your puppy will receive a graduation certificate and rosette, along with a prize!

Interested in enrolling and having some fun with your new puppy? Let one of our staff know and we can put you on the waiting list for the next class.
